Bluetooth Password

Have a new phone, a Samsung Incognito and want to pair with by Z120BT.

My problem? How do I specify a bluetooth password on the Pioneer with the alphabet and NOT numbers? My Samsung phone doesn't seem to allow me to type in a 'number only' sequence when pairing.

Thanks in advance,

B3

The pioneer only support numbers for BT PIN code. And i have never seen a phone that didn't support numbers for its PIN code. You are likely running into some other compatibility issue with that phone.

Hi Vblue42:

My phone naturally types numbers for calling, web browsing etc. The problem is to select a number on the interior keypad you must hold the 'function' key while pressing an alpha/numeric key and to get to the numbers which can take anywhere from 3 to 8 clicks to place the number on the screen. I'm sure there's a way to do this, should probably call my phone vendor.

Thanks, B3

Really, in the day of phone vendors trying to compete with the iPhone I find it hard to believe that it would be so difficult to enter numbers on a keypad. Hopefully its something easy. Good luck with that.
