I have a AM signal problem with a few local AM stations in my area. All those stations should have a very good signal. My old Honda stock radio got all those stations without and static noise. After I installed the Z1, some of the stations turned to bad quality with a lot of hum and static. FM stations a all good. Any idea ???

What kind of car? What kind of antenna? Is it a window (in glass) antenna? Is it a whip antenna?

Generally radio reception problems are from powered antennas (generally in glass) not being powered with your new setup. But that usually effects FM too.

I am guessing its a newer honda, just a guess. but if it is, there is a newer style ant. system and the adapter that is used must fit properly, sometimes it doesnt "click" in right.. check that if its a newer honda.

Hahahaha.. :D You are totally right. It is 2007 Honda Ody. Do you know what kind of ant. adapter is? Where I can get it? How come it only affect some of the AM stations but not all of them and the FM stations?

well, depending on how it is "not" connecting is how some frequencies could not function. but anyways, theres a part by metra called 40hd, but you would have to have it already if fm is coming in. instead of a normal circular ant. its a molex type with a few wires in it.

Do you think the signal booster that will help to improve the signal quality?

signal booster would be a band aid tot he problem. dont waste time and money with it, find the real problem. LOOK at the actual ant. connection, those are very very easily damaged, maybe that occurred. but you have to visually check it yourself.
