I am looking into purchasing a Z120 in the near future (possibly spring/summer), and will be using my iTouch as my main source of entertainment (video and tunes)

A few things I would like to confirm before I finalize my purchase.

1) The CD-IU50V cable have both USB connection and a 3.5mm audio cable integrated. Why is the 3.5mm audio cable needed when the USB is already to carry audio and video signals?

2) My vehicle already have factory USB connection, will the headunit like it if I extend the cable (from the headunit) so it will look factory? In the manual, it states that's do not use a USB hub, so I'm not sure if this is the same case.

3) Finally, the CD-IU50V cable will charge any iPod and iPhone right?

1. AV signals dont traval over the USB. Those signals traval over the AV connection. The USB is used for charging and control only.

2. You may be able to extend the cable but without being able to extend the aforementioned AV connection it's not going to do you any good.

3. Yes, up to now.
