Am from the UK and looking to do this bypass but i was told the relay method is simply for the USA version of the unit. Can anyone confirm that the EU models is bypassed differently ie grounding just the parking wire?

From what I've read it seems that you might just be able to ground it. Why don't you just test it out? It's pretty easy to just ground the parking brake cable off the HU. If it doesn't work, get a relay.

Is the AVH-P4300DVD the same as the AVH-P4200DVD to rewire?
