I've been reading posts many posts here on AVIC411 for a few months now and have learned ALOT about these AVIC-Zx units. I finally decided to register just to thank the many of you who are so knowledgeable and helpful on this site. Keep up the great work. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something soon. I am getting ready to start an upgrade to SSD on my Z1 wih Z3 image. I see there there has been some success so I thought I'g give it a try since I was able to get a hold of a new supertalent 64gb PATA ssd for under $150. Worse come to worst I can find another use for it

Welcome to the group. Keep us updated on the SSD progress. I am mostly interested if you can disable the security to keep the Z from locking the drive. I am also interested to know if you get 'random' reboots while using the SSD.
