Sorry, I dind't find any tread on my questions.
Can the Z1 accept a satellite dish reception for tuning tv? Is it easy to connect? Should I need special gadget?

Thanks in advance.

Well there is no sat module for hooking up and controlling from the touch screen. But there are AUX inputs (rca) which will take any device. If you have a sat receiver which runs on 12V (or with an inverter) you can just run that receiver into your AUX inputs on the Z1 and you would need a remote for the sat receiver to control it. Works like any AUX input on any TV.
Doesn't direct tv sell a setup for doing just that? I seem to remember seeing it on their website a couple years ago. It was a dish that mounted on the roof racks of a vehicle, and the tuner box. Went for something like 2k.
I know of a dishnet system and cost is like 1,800 but comes with everything even the receiver.. so retail will be well over 2k I am sure
Tracvision is the one I see most. Like the previous post mentioned though, its really expensive
I've installed 4 TracVision systems in the past year, very cool, and full DirecTV reception, plus, the recievers still use the old encryption, so they are easy to hack. Got a bootloader in my display unit, never goes down.
directv? or dishnet? cuz direct tv has many old receivers, and the "new encryption" is in the card a p4 or p5, they are usable in the old recievers, and since the HU and H cards where shut down (shut down in the sense of video auth packets) you cant be using them for video. Audio isnt encrypted so you can get that still. Also, bootloaders where for dishnet.
There were bootloaders for DTV also. Mine died years ago so I assumed they all had by now, but who knows
they where called boot loaders though .. as far as widely called anyways from what I remember. But that still doesnt change the fact that an hu card or h card cant get video, so hows this working for jimmy?
Don't know how, but it's working. Has been for several years. I've never removed the loader or the card from the reciever, so I don't know which card is in there. Maybe I just got lucky.
