I am wanting to hook up the Pioneer camera to my 110BT but not as a backup camera but a forward looking camera, is this possible? I already have a backup camera that came with the truck and shows in the rearview mirror. thx. Also been using this forum alot to work with my 110BT but first post.
Pioneer Camera on 110BT
Of course you can mount the camera anywhere you desire, but the Z110 will switch the display to the camera input when you are in reverse. You could connect the Reverse wire to a dash switch instead of a backup light circuit. Then you could control it manually.
You can also display it via split screen.
But the biggest problem using the Pioneer camera is that it will reverse the image. That might get confusing with the camera facing forward. Better to get a standard camera (12v dc composite). I'm sure they are available.
I have been looking at cameras online tonight, what are everyones opinions about Boyo cameras, ecpecialy these models:
VTE100
VTB500
VTB301
VTB201
VTB100
They are the best for the price.
The VTL series are the CCD cameras however. The ones you are looking at are CMOS and they will give a grainier image.
I want to mount the camera on the top of an ARB aftermarket bumper, it will be placed inbetween a set of offroad lights. I picked the models above because of the bracket system is there a camera that could mount like that but give a better picuture?
How about this one VTB500? im sure i can paint the outside black to blend it into the bumper, will it angle down at all? it so that i can see over the hills when offorading and for when to stop when parking.
