I have searched the forums, but have not been able to find anything concerning this. Several people have posted that it might be a good idea to make a backup of the system on an SD card incase of issues later after the warranty expires. How do you do this for the X920BT?

You cant. They're referring to the previous units. The previous X and the currant X are totally different units.
