I installed the blue tooth module as per. It was reconized, but it does not work. Meaning no ringing are nothing when I call my phone.

Compatibility is not an issue... he is asking whether you PAIRED the phone to the unit.

Two bluetooth devices need to be paired with eachother before they can communicate.

Your phone, and your nav unit, should have instructions for pairing the two devices together.

I tried to pair and it found the pioneer blue tooth but would not pair up.

The phone is a blackberry 7105t. It seems to find the pioneer nav, after I follow the add device screen ,but will not pair up. I get a message when I start the car saying bluetooth connected.

Try starting over, following the instruction for the Z1 to a "t", but initialize the pairing from the Z1.
