Hello,

I have a 2009 Scion XB Release Series 6.0 and it comes factory with the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT. I just bought it used and i was wondering about the head unit. When i go to menu the navigation and System Settings are all grayed out. Only option i have is AV Source and AV Settings. I read on here that the parking brake cable is not connected but i dont know how that could be with it being factory. Also i can play a dvd and enter in a address in the navigation when i am parked and have the parking brake on. So it has to be connected. Any suggestions on this?

Also, I seem to be getting terrible FM/AM signal. I will seek through FM and it might find 3 stations before going through all of them. It gets staticy fast. I have to manualy go up and down to get a station to come in... Also, in the av settings it has a subwoofer on and off mode. I turn it off and the bass drops out alot. There is no subwooder hooked up though. So im wondering when the option is on if its just over powering the back speakers.

Any help is appreciated.

so when you are parked with the parking brake on, you can watch video but not get into all of the settings, the same lock out that stops you from watching videos while driving also effects a lot of setting menus

that sounds to me like you have a factory amp and subwoofer, just turning on and off that option would not effect the sound out of the full range speakers (front and rear)
