PA - Pandora App on the iPhone.

PH - Panodra on the Head Unit.

DC - iPhone is directly connected to the HU via the iPod Cable.

HU - Head Unit (z120bt).

UI - User Interface.

PUMP - Tap the home button and then tap PA icon repetititvely/ close pandora via multi-taking and re-open/ turn phone off and on until HU/PH UI accepts connection. (ordered from easiest to worst case scenario)

PA and PH have a terrible relationship. First off to start streaming you either A.) Have to click on the PH icon then it'll ask you to open PA. For whatever reason this sometimes doesn't work so you have to close PA and re-open it. Sometimes 2-3 times just to get the HU to recognize it. B.) If you already have PA up and running THEN connect it to the HU it will automatically start up. For whatever reason THIS sometimes doesn't work and you'll have to "PUMP". It will say (Pandora - Accessory attached) or something like that but if the PH UI doesn't start playing/ show any song data you have to keep PUMPing it.

Once successfully connected there are some other issues. 1.) If you leave the PA on your phone the music will still play but you will loose the PH UI, and when you go back to it sometimes you will have to PUMP to get the PH UI back. The only exception to this is if your iPhone is paired with your HU and someone calls you. When this happens the music will fade, pause itself and when you hangup it will return to the PH UI automatically.

Additionally, believe it or not: Pandora sounds way better when streamed over bluetooth versus the quality of it being DC'd. But if you're DC'd you can't click on the "Bluetooth Audio" icon on the HU because as soon as you open Pandora it snaps back to the PH UI. So you're forced to listen to Pandora in a lower quality unless you disconnect from the cable/dock/connector and play over bluetooth. If you don't have a higher quality system you won't be able to tell the difference but anyone spending good money on these HU's probably have a nice setup. The difference is VERY noticeable. The DC should sound better and I don't understand why.

But, 70% of the time it works which is OK but not acceptable at all. I'll do a video review once I get some free time and as far as trouble shooting is concerned, I've had it connected without the mount, same outcome. In the PA the high quality setting is turned on and stays on.

Same problem I'm having. It is so annoying. I was wondering if it was because I have a jailbroken iPhone with IOS 4.1 and a hacked version of pandora. But it seems like others are having same problem. Also I'm using a PAC cable instead of an official pioneer cable (sore subject, I ordered an official cable and got a PAC, but have no other problems)

Also nice mount

I just installed aan AVH-P3300BT because I wanted to have Bluetooth and Pandora. I have a Verizon iphone 4 (not jailbroken) and the correct pioneer ipod/iphone cable. As above stated as soon as you turn on Pandora, Bluetooth shuts down. What I didn't quite get was if you run pandara thru bluetooth audio with the hands free still function for the phone?
