I've seen in other posts that before modding I need to make a backup of files. Can someone list exactly what folders/files need to be backed up?

Is it any different if I am doing a firmware update? I tried the 2.8 firmware update off of Pioneers website and it bricked my unit. Kind of afraid to do an update again!

I always backup the folder 'My Flash Disk.' The unit will probably tell you it will take an hour or so to do this, but it should only be around 20 minutes.

Sorry, I can't remember what I did about the firmware, although I am running a 3.? number. Hope this gives some insight.
