Hi Guys,

Just got a simple question. What is the main difference between Z and X series? For example Z130BT vs X930BT? Apart from the screen size and motorized/fixed display is there any other difference? For example touch screen sensitivity, overall performance, etc?

Thank you,

Ruben

I might be wrong one this but, I believe the z series comes with the traffic and the z series comes with built in hd radio plus everything else you said and its overall a better looking unit because of the screen size

Also, the Z has voice recognition.

My old F90BT has voice recognition. How come new X does not have it?

the x910bt and x920bt have voice recognition however pioneer removed the hardware needed for voice on the x930bt.

any other differences? Is it worth overpaying for 930?

i like the voice recognition. i would perfer to get the x920bt. its only 600 shipped brand new from amazon.com. remember pioneer will release the x930 software probably in may that will upgrade the x290 to the x930

I've seen x930 available in amazon as well. is it running old software currently?

no x930bt is running the 2011 software....but like pioneer does every year they will release an update for the 2010 x920bt (in may/june) to upgrade it to the 2011 software and you will still have voice recognition....if you get the x930bt there is no way to have voice recognition.
