I have the AVIC-700BT running 3.0 and I hooked up an amp for my front speakers... could not get any sound! i switched my RCA to the rear preouts and it worked fine. so my question is how do I use my front preouts?! Im assuming its just a simple settin that i am missing PLEASE HELP!
Trouble amplifying front speakers..
your avic probably has a problem with those outputs, there should be no setting to turn them on

Agreed. I've seen this issue on an Alpine headunit. If your amplifier has high level inputs as well as RCA inputs, you can just run the front speaker wires coming out of your 700BT directly to the amp. If your amp doesn't have high level inputs (most don't), then a workaround would be to hook up a Line Output Converter to the 700BT's front speaker wires out, then connect the RCA's to the LOC's RCA jacks and run them to your amp.
Click HERE for some examples of LOCs, though when purchasing a product, I highly recommend checking out http://www.caraudiocraze.com and e-mailing Trent (the owner). Here's the LOC on his website: http://www.caraudiocraze.com/other-accessories/hifonics-mx-1-high-to-low-level-converter/prod_1479.html
I order almost all my new stuff from him because his e-mail support is outstanding and his prices are some of the lowest I can find for new stuff.
