Can I use any 2.5" USB hard drive for music and video files? Can you browse it like you can the iPod?
My 300gb hard drive would not work but my usb flash drives do work...

I doubt that the 5v power that the HU furnishes on the US cable will spin-up many hard-drives. You might get it to work with an enclosure that takes an external power supply. That is - if you can find one that will plug in to a 12v socket. You could also get a small 120v AC inverter.
