ok, so i just installed the z120bt in my silverado. so far everything appears to be working correctly. I gotta say that gmos interface saved me a lot of headaches (maybe). My question is on the nav screen. At night the screen is extremley bright, is it supposed to automaticaly dim with the headlights? also is the background supposed to look like night or is it always a blue sky? (3d). I have the setting to automaticly detect day and night, and i can adjust the brightness manualy. I hooked up the illumination wire, should i have connected the dimmer wire instead?

The screen should dim and change to a night sky when your headlights are on. Your illumination wire isn't hooked up correctly.

thanks Jason, for some reason my illuminatin wire wasnt working. Luckily i was able to locate a working ill. wire off of the climate controls directly below the radio. a quick little splice and everything is working again.
