Do you have to be in navigating mode for speed warning to be enabled?

Can this speed warning feature be activated automatically when vehicle starts?

If it's turned on, I'm pretty sure it's always on.

yea it should be on all the time as long as the setting is turned on, however most of the roads (at least the ones that i drive on) don't have the speed limit listed (it cant tell you that your speeding if it doesn't know what the limit actually is)
