Hi All! I've had a hell of a time with the install of this new system, mostly due to an suicidal installer that went on stress leave for a month after installing my stereo and didn't do it properly. It's finally sorted, but I've got one issue with it I'd like to see if there's a fix for.

I'm finding when I make or receive a call using bluetooth on this device that there's a good 4-5 second delay after the connection is made where no one can hear each other - after that it's totally fine, but it's causing people to hang up in the first few seconds thinking I'm not there, and I can't hear them either initially.

This was bought off the showroom floor and was up to date (bluetooth 3.11, firmware update 2.003) but I didn't reset it to factory settings.

Is this common with this system or is there a problem? My iphone 4 is updated to the latest os and the connection is great, once it actually kicks in.

There is also no ringer while I'm making a call, just an icon that shows me it's dialing and then when the connection is made, not sure if that's normal either.

any ideas or suggestions?

no ideas? This can't be normal can it? Everything else on the unit is working well, but this delay connecting to calls is becoming a pain.

here's what I found. I'm in a nissan versa hatchback, 2009 SL with the bluetooth and xm radio and the upgraded stereo option (obviously still wanted a touch screen and gps)

I noticed yesterday when getting into the car that the light for a bluetooth connection for the factory stereo (top of the car, near the interior lights) was still lighting up when I started the car, despite the fact my iphone was showing it connected to the z120bt. turns out I had connection still with BOTH.

I deleted the factory bluetooth from my iphone and everything now works perfectly.
