Is there any way to update an AVIC-F920BT with the 2011 CNSD-210FM update without paying for the update?

I have a UK model and I cannot find a legitimate update anywhere and I was wondering if there was a clever hack I could use to update my head unit.

I really want the Appmode feature.

The reason you can't find it is because its not available yet.

I contacted Pioneer and they were adamant that Halfords or any other major dealer stocked it but clearly that isn't the case yet.

The new update CNSD-210FM can be loaded at digital-eliteboard right now.

But there is one question. How do you install the update without a password that will be generated by the device- and media number

Completely agree, they are totally useless and very expensive. I do usually use Car Audio Direct its just that Pioneer was adamant that Halfords had which of course they don't.

Did you get the update yet? I had a look on the Car Audio Direct web site but they don't list any Pioneer updates I didn't realise they could get them for you.

I didn't go for it in the end as the update for the f900 is pretty much just maps, no UI upgrades or anything.

get the org. firmware. Use the crack to replace 2 files in the org firmware.

Update the new cracked FW.

Download the CNSD-210Fm card.

Update by putting all on the SD card.

Done deal.
