so i had to unplug the avic to put in the metra dash kit and i did this in my garage where i have no gps signal, and my installer couldnt hook up the VSS in my car so now my navi is thrown off. when i am in my "HOME" position it shows my location a few miles off in the woods, even though i am home. anyone know how to reset my GPS location? i tried to manually chance my location in the settings menu, but it continues to return to me being in the woods when i am home, any help is appreciated! thanks!

Have you driven around to get satellite reception yet?

Sounds right......... I'm sure driving around should reset your position.

I have the same problem without resetting / disconnecting power. I live in the woods and the signal is poor, especially in my garage. from time to time it will put me elsewhere on the map, but a short 2-3 mile drive down the road picks up and returns me to where i should be on the map, try that, see if driving in a not so hidden area fixes it.

You can also manually change position/direction, but it's better to let the unit find itself.

Sorry, not paying attention today, as you can see from my other posts. Hangovers suck.

no worries, sometimes the info needs to be covered more then once as evident on this forum (and others)
