I want to understand how to turn off the HU while the car is running. I want to know this in case I forget to reset the bypass switch before turning on the radio. Right now the only way I know to turn it off is to turn off the car, take out the key, and open the door.

 

Manual says to hold SRC/OFF until it powers down.

 

When I hold the SRC *button* the screen goes blank with the only option "SourceOff" in the corner of the screen. If I touch that icon on the screen it switches to a slightly different screen, but doesn't turn off. There is no way to hold the "SourceOff" button down until it turns off.

why would you need to reset your your bypass?

 

you could always install a kill switch for ignitiopn to the hu
