when i plug it in, it doesnt start playing and i dont know what menu settign i have to go to to turn it on.. in doesnt come up in the sources.

i have the avic-x910bt

if it is the same as the F series, then it has to be turned on in the menu, AV2 set to video

Just to confirm the above. I just figured it out myself tonight. But I have the x910 bt. Just set AV2 to video you can select it from your av source screen and you should be good to go.
