Microphone doesn't work, splash screen doesn't show up, tilt is greyed out, will not eject CD or SD card. WTF. Is this a bad unit or is there something els I can do.

ok everything but the microphone was the sd card had come out. I pulled the trim to remove the radio and found that. Microphone (original problem) still doesn't work. I am going to try another mic tomorrow. I talked to pioneer and if I have to send it back, they said 2 - 4 weeks. That is bs for a thousand dollar stereo. Glad I didn't get rid of the stock unit yet.

Sounds like you have my luck. Check all the cables, etc... maybe it's something simple.

I ordered a sony mic because I could get it next day. Sadly, pioneer has their own tiny plug so 2.5 wouldn't fit. I ordered the pioneer mic and should be here tomorrow. I don't think it is the mic but damn, I don't want to send it to those boobs. And, I don't want to be with out a unit for weeks. I spend alot of time driving during the day and that will suck. I will test the new mic tomorrow
