Hello all. I have a 2006 chevy silverado with a Z1 installed in it. When i had the stock radio installed and i shut the truck off the radio would stay on until i opened the door. does anyone know what wire i need to hook up to make my Z1 do that? right now it will turn off as soon as i turn the key off. thanks for the help. Do you have the correct GMOS adapter installed?
Mine (GMOS-04) stays on after I turn the car off until I open the door.
Yea, the harness is what does that. Someone must have either hooked up the wire wrong, or you have the wrong GMOS harness adapter. There are 3 or 4 of them for 06. Depends on whether you have on star or not and or Bose system.
Thanks for the replys. i dont think i have a GMOS installed. i watched my friend install it and the harness fron the radio got wired right to the gm harness i bought. which gmos should i get? its a 06 silverado with no onstar and no bose, no steeringwheel controls

I would say an RC01 is the one. That is the same one I have in my 06 Sierra. Does your door chime go through the door speaker? If so, here it is:
