well that might not be the XM antenna that might be the GPS antenna on the dash. To install XM you need this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-yilQjKyGDnG/p_130P920XM/Pioneer-GEX-P920XM.html it plugs into the back of F700BT.

2. my usb isnt working properly. everytime i connect iphone/ipod it shuts the unit off.

could be a bad cable or you need a the firmware update.

3. i am reading a lot about a firmware update? how would i go about doing this?

check to make sure you dont already have the latest version. Goto "settings">"system settings">"service information". if you have have version 3.x or 4.x you already at the latest version. There's instructions here on how to do a firmware update if you need it, do a "search".

4. Also how come the auxiliary jack doesn't work?

here's the link to the manual for your unit http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Navigation/AVIC-F700BT_OperationManual0722.pdf i recommend looking it over. Goto Page 143 of the PDF, it shows you how. Goto "settings">"AV settings" . page 143 will tell you how to turn on the "mini-jack input on the front panel".
