I currently have the pioneer GEX-P920XM xm unit but I would like to swap it out for the navtraffic unit.

Will I have to pull the Z1 and hook an additional cable to the back for data?

The GEX-P920XM is easy to get to and I was hoping it was a simple swap out.

Yeah the pbus and power connection is the same, so you can reuse those. Then you just have to run the extra datacable from the tuner to the avic.
