Hi All,

Just wondering if the Z-1 can be connected to one of the portable XM units and have full functionality/integration, especially the NavTraffic function.

I'd like to have NavTraffic, but I don't want to buy XM service that is permanently attached to my Z-1. I'd like to be able to take the XM radio with me to different cars, inside the house, to the office, etc. without having to buy a separate unit, and paying for a second subcription? Know what I mean?

The only way you get nav traffic on the z1 is with the nav traffic tuner. Nothing at this time allows you to have xm+navtraffic on the z1 and still be portable.

a separate subscription wouldnt be necessary, i think the add on for radio service is like $6 a month, you could get a portable unit as well and not have to pay the full pop for both units
