i just recently got a back up camera the xovision one it works just fine IF i hook it up to the AV input but for some reason it wont work if i hook it up to the back up monitor video plug.... is there any reason that this wont work... i know the camera work cause it works in av input.. please help me!!

Did you connect the 'reverse' wire on the avic to your backup light car wire? did you set the correct settings in menu settings?

yes i believe i did... when i chage to setting to where i would use the camera the back up camera screen will come on when i put the car into reverse.. But no image from the camera will come through..

Make sure you have the video plug plugged into the brown RCA connector on the radio. that is the back up camera input.

For the back up camera wire from the radio to the reverse lights, did you use the ground or power wire on the reverse lights?
