Hi there,

I got this installer who installed a pioneer avic 700bt with navigation.Everything is great gps is great , satelitte gps was placed at the corner of the dashboard ( any recommnedation to get a bettter signal maybe in the middle of the dashboard for better signals.Installer recommended outside of the car but dont want to do that..someone might take this.

The cd player is great , but now the funny thing..The Fm stations come in good but as soon as you drive the volume of the station is loud , then soft , loud and soft...and i cant get any am stations

I asked my installer and he told me that the attenna harness he used did not have a blue wire a power wire for stronger signal. Now i got him Metra 40-EU55 which i was told would be the one for my vw, he told me that did not fit..any suggestion how to get better or stronger signals

There is nothing with the head unit because everything functions great..or do you .

The only thing is the weak signals for fm and am station..

Any suggestions would be great thanks

A: sat antenna should always be placed out side the car for the best reception, on the dash board is iffy at best, some manufactures use glass the prohibits the signal from passing through.

B; most new VW's actually have two antenna's, all the antenna adapters can only hook up to one of them, once, a long time ago, some body found a place that had a antenna adapter that would connect to both antennas, but this part could only be found in europe.
