I have a z130bt in a gm work van, I have to use the Chrysler/Gm adapter for the antenna size. I have very poor Fm and badly any Am signal. worked fine in stock head unit? Any ideas?

have you made sure that the adapter is pushed in all the way? its a tight fit sometimes. it could be the small part that goes into the adapter isnt making full contact.

Not familiar with that adapter, however there must be something wrong with your antenna interface to the HU.
You may have an amplified antenna, which needs to be powered from the HU. Or maybe a "diversity antenna". It is discussed in this thread ->http://avic411.com/i...le-please-help/

His vehicle isn't that special. It either the adapter not fitting right or the antenna whip from outside is missing
