Is there a setting to have the radio/music player mute while the GPS is giving the voice directions? I know I can adjust the volume of the voice but can't seem to find a setting to mute the music while GPS is talking.

Yes, it should under some settings. You would have to change the mute option to 'Navi/Phone/VR' or something like that. This setting allows you to mute radio when navi is giving directions.
