I have been having a problem with my d3.

 

It will lockup at times, go to a black screen, not eject the disk, sometimes the nav arrow will be there but with no roads or poi’s, I captured some pics of what happens most.

 

When my nav screen goes out, or locks up, the radio still works in the background but with no screen, I can also change the audio input when it happens, usually turning the car off and back on will reset everything to work, I tried a reset on the system with the button next to the eject and after a couple days it did the same thing. About two months before this started I did a map upgrade.

 

In the pics, I was on the map screen, it blacked out, a couple seconds later it said “preparing to switch to memory nav mode” then things came back but I was missing touch screen selections, and when I went back to the map as I traveled the map turned to blue background…it doesn’t always do this, sometimes it just goes black and stays, one time I got a error message of “there was a problem with the dvd rom”

 

Could this be an issue with the map upgrade or a bigger problem I should send it in for…

well i went back to the old map. well see if it helps, its been fine for a couple days now but it didnt act up much before, maybe 4, 5, times a month....
