After recently buying myself a Smart Car that came with the AVIC-F910BT System installed I have tried to connect my iPhone 4 running iO5 via the supplied leads and it doesnt work.

The system will load the iphone/ipod and play the tracks.. can select them etc but no sound comes out of them?

Is it right that the leads supplied with it will be the older type that will only support iphone 3 and below (like some of the older accesories will only work on older iPhones)? if so what leads do i need buy so that it works with the iPhone 4?

Hi, Did you set up the AVIC for your Iphone? If not go to settings, AV, Input 1, push until it says Ipod. Should work

also, what does the cable look like that plugs into your iphone? if it is the white ipod sync cable, there is your problem.
