So I bought a used 2006 Chev 2500hd diesel. picked it up yesterday and was quite annoyed when the radio "wakes up" as in the Pioneer logo is displayed then i recieve a lit up black screen. I was able to hear the radio but no idea what I was listening too. Being a mechanic I figured I would be able to look into it. I found an online PDF owners manual for the 900,700 and 710. Now I tried hitting the reset button a few times for about a minute. I also went to a future shop and spoke with an audio tech. He suggested that it should be sent to a place to be reprogrammed and that its freezing. I do not know much about this at all. From what i understand its a pretty powerful unit with several capabilities. I would like to avoid removing it and being without a radio as I bought the truck used I do not have a stock unit to throw back in there for the mean time. Any advice or help is much appreciated.
