hey folks,

since this head unit doesn't have an embedded gps device and is more or less an external monitor for your iPhone, what does the hard wired gps antenna do? is the iPhone able to use it via the dock connector, overriding it's own?

thanks

It simply amplifies your iPhone GPS. In theory you get better GPS reception.
