i bought the radio used for my wife's car about 2 years ago. every other day the screen goes blank for about 20 seconds and then i'm sent back to the main menu, the radio keeps playing though. my other concern is that when i toogle the steering wheel control radio tuning, it goes manually thru every frequency instead of following the presets like the stock radio. the place i had install the thing were of no help, i asked how to change that because it f'ing drives me crazy! doesn't pioneer do some kind of refurbishing? would that solve my problems? i wanna take this out of her car before we trade in and put it in my own car.

absolutely nothing? i want to put this in my '11 outback. what will i need? a double-din adapter for that model car. maybe new steering wheel controls? should i learn to live with it resetting every other day?
