No voice recognition. Thats retarded, not that I use it much but still neat to show people

Seems like a good deal, at least from a media stand point. You can play mp3s from either a CD or DVD, unlike the Z1 which can only do CDs. Also it has Divx capability on cd or DVD, unlike the Z1 which can do neither. The upcoming Z2 cant do any of this either, if that makes you feel better.

sounds like a no-brainer to me. D3 it is.
D1 is up for sale if anyone is interested.

mmmmmm, nice specs...
Still can't figure why Pioneer has juiced up the pre-outs to at least 4v.

And I thought bluetooth was onboard, but seems it requires an adapter...

According to this, iTunes AAC support is included. I wonder if that includes protected content? Most likely, considering the full-speed iPod support is likely NOT playing from the iPod but playing using the DAC internal to the D3. This also makes me wonder if it supports Apple Lossless Codec (ALC) since almost everything pulled from my CDs is in that format.
