I'm new to the Pioneer nav systems. No experience with the procedure.

What is the likelihood that ugrading the OS and programmed features that are a part of the Z2 will necessitate reformatting the HD and therefore losing your stored albums and setting. I'm sure most of us have many albums stored already. Would be nice not having to do it all over, again.

Why people can't just be patient and see how this works amazes me.

Nobody outside of Pioneer knows.

There is a lot of speculation, but until it is released, that's all it is.

haha.... alright I'm not going to get in to a pissing contest here.

Let's just take your word as gospel. Somehow you have the inside 411.

Either way, if what you say is the truth -- great. That is good stuff.

This guy "T" had emailed me previously and some of my information that I have posted has come from him. I guess he watched the posts and was ok emailing me information to post but didn't want to post directly. He recently PMed me saying he got his own account (so I knew who he was). Seems to know lots about the goings on about the Avic stuff. I never asked where he gleaned his knowledge.

ducati, it doesnt seem you are affirming he is the all knowing, are you? didnt think so. maybe creating all this hype over the inevitable is counter productive. maybe the simple wait and see would be appropriate now.

I figure that unless the info comes directly from the Horses mouth (pioneer confirmed) that it doesnt hold 100% weight with me anyhow... But I don't mind hearing these rumors, I just won't say that they are confirmed.

ultimately, I am going to wait for this thing to come out, others to apply it, see what is new, test it, etc. before I take the plunge.

time will tell...

No, I never said that... did I? I said that he has given me (and through me all of us) some juicy bits of info from time to time... going back many many months. I don't know what he is knowing of. I'm just saying that if he decides to post some info, just don't disrespect him or discount what he has to say (even with only a couple posts). He has been around much longer than anyone knows.

But I also agree, till we hear absolutely one way or the other, all the is speculative. As long as people know that basically we all are end users and don't really know anything Pioneer will do and take it with a grain of salt.
