Does anyone know how you can get the Z1 to play live cds that are broken up into tracks without a 2 sec the gap between each track. My cd works great on every other player including the Kenwood in my wife car, but in the Z1 there is a 2 sec pause between tracks, both on the cd and the HD, help

When it gets recorded to the HDD, the AVIC puts a pause between tracks. Try putting the cd into your home computer, record it as a .wav file, drag the file into the sound recorder, eliminate any gaps in the audio, then burn a disc with only one track. I do this with my mix cd's, but it makes for some cussing if your favorite song is 44 minutes into the track.

Thanks for your reply. Thanks is what I have done. It just irks me though that I cannot event get the original mix cd to play in the avic as a cd not saved on the HD even though the cd plays in everything else.

If the cd is recorded as a seamless mix, then make sure the auto-record function is turned off on your AVIC. It's in the settings menu, second screen.
