I did some searching and having no luch with a resolution, here's my issue.

I have a 2006 chevy silverado with steering controls. Im using the awic steering wheel adapter and onstar retention unit to adapt to my z110bt. I added a pin from an old harness to the pin that you swap the mute pin to so keeping the mute wire in use for the onstar. I grounded the pin to the stereo. I get "improper brake lead" message but it still works. The issue is when i go over 10mph it stops bypassing. I think the GPS is locking it out....

Any ideas?

I think either your bypass wires aren't grounded properly or that new pin isn't making contact correctly in the plug. Obviously, the ground it the easiest thing to test.

ISN'T that what it does regardless works until you go over 10mph??? Cuz I have the AVIC-x9115bt in MY '02 Lexus is 300 and maybe it's just cuz as we installed it we tried to bypass the parking brake & mute wire trick right away and we moved the mute wire but we didn't replace the old spot it was in. And there was some argument if we heard a click when we put it in the new spot. Anyways the video keeps playing tell around above 10mph??? So what does that mean if anybody knows??? Now you guys are telling us to check the ground wires and see if the mute wire is in place correctly right? this is also the mysterious model but it is said to follow the instructions on the how to You tube videos of the 910 or bt models??? any other suggestions??/ the CD has gotten stuck in the CD-ROM for the 2ND time the other day as well, and i wonder if that is a malfunction that we caused messing with all this and how to fix that from recurring as well! thanks & appreciated!

I can't answer about the x9115bt, I'm not familiar with that model. But no, that isn't normal when the bypass is done correctly. Everything (including all NAV functions, dvd, all settings, etc) works regardless of speed.
