currently my screen has that light sensor and i was wondering how i could change it so i can change the brightness of the screen myself. i prefer a bright screen. but don't know how to go about doing this.

Hold down the wide button while the parking brake is engaged to adjust the picture. I would try just turning up the dimmer before adjusting any of the other settings. Pioneer ships them with the dimmer all the way down and most people are happy just turning it up, not bothering with the brightness
