I just installed my D1 and I installed the east disc and it is telling me to insert the appropriate disc? I tried the west one and it did the same thing. What gives here. I have teh 2.1 version

Someone may have installed an updated disc. Does the disc say "for the D1" on it?

Well I can't check that right now cause the truck is not here but what would be the difference in them. I bought this from Pioneer as a refurb. so what ever that means. I just read about a downgrade ??????

Yes it did I want to say that it says version 2.1 on them. I also just read about adjusting the D1 itself with a menu of some sort

That problem has arisen here before. I had a refurb that I had to return for that reason. Seems to be a fairly common problem with the D1/D2.
