Update f900bt from 2.009 to 4 — AVIC411 Forum Archive

Hi,

Would someone be able to help me, i want to update my f900bt but i have been told if i update it i will lose my maps. What would i need to update the system?

I currently have 2.009 firmware and suffer from the system always freezing and it is always really laggy.

Follow the hybrid 4.001 thread found on this page. Also need to download the new maps link located in thread thread 2011 Q1 maps... Both the maps and 4.001 hybrid file hack are torrents you need a torrent downloader to get the files. Then you need to copy paste the map files into hybrid files in apl2/igo/content. Add maps into maps and pois into pois ect. You should have an idea of what you are doing or just buy the disks from pioneer

you upgrade the SW / FW of the unit to 4.

then you have to find updated maps.

the latest i have found are the 2012 USA maps, but apparently there are some 2013 maps floating around that i have not been able to find
