Ok, so we all agree that just about any camera can be used. What I want to know is this, what is so special about the ND-BC1 that the cost is between $165-$300 see link -> http://froogle.google.com/froogle_clust ... =mrd&hl=en

But then you can find a camera as cheap as $10 on ebay.
I know you get what you pay for, but I have a real hard time paying out that much money, the install shop that did my alarm and Z1 install tried to sell me a cam for $300 and it was not even the ND-BC1!!

I am just trying to decide what is a good sub for ND-BC1.

Like what about this one? -> http://froogle.google.com/froogle_clust ... =mrd&hl=en

What should I be looking for when it comes to specs? I am sure other people have the same questions, so let see if we can get some answers.

At the very least I would look for a night vision mode like super low lux or infra-red as well as a weather proof housing and mounting gear. I personally chose the pioneer model because of its view angles.

^^Like mentioned above, get one that is for night and day, which most are. Also get one that has "wide angle view".

Also I wanted mine to fit in my keyhole of my trunk, so I bought a smaller one, instead of that one you provided a link to. I would of bought the Pioneer one, if it would of fit into a keyhole.

Yeah I agree the pioneer one is significantly bulkier than most, it's definitely not a good candidate if you are trying to conceal it.
