Had it with The D2 poor FM reception, dated GPS data and failed documentation. Next vehicle buying the Garmin adjunct! Pioneer sucks!!

Couldn't have said it any better.
However, I love my D2. My FM reception is perfect, the maps are up to date everywhere I've needed to go so far, and I've been able to find all the info I need about it either here, in the manual or by experimenting.
Again, sorry yours sucks because I've only had good experiences with mine.
