okay, i just purchased a Z1. upgrading from the N1. does the Z1 screen hide when the vehicle is parked and off like the N1 or does it stay out all the time.

It stays out all the time. It does not hide or rotate out of view or anything.

that kind of sucks, is there something to deter the thiefs, like a flashing red light or something. being out in plain view is kind of tempting

Lincoln Aviators and Navigators (I have the Aviator) have a fold down screen that is built into the dash and comes down to hide the radio. When I first got it and it had the stock radio, I thought it was dumb, now I love it.

thats cool, i have a trailblazer so it's going to be in plain view, guess gonna have to bolt, cement, solder that puppy to ther dash. so if a thief tries to steal it he'll be there for a while.
