Hi guys, I picked up a non-working F900BT unit off a friend. Turns out he messed with it and deleted all the files. I was look to see if any one could send me thiers? I currently have the F90BT files in the unit but from reading around its diffrent. It boots to a black screen, then when you hit menu is goes to the main screen but I cant do anything and then it will restart. I have the latest firmware on it now. Thanks.

All f files are the same just changes by region ie us/eu/aus/Russ when you hit menu button can you get into the AV and play any music or just get into settings?

Well mine goes to the black screen then I hit menu for it to come up but nothing works and then it will restart again.

can you hit the SETTINGS button in bottom right corner when in MENU home screen?

No thats the problem, I hit it and it highlights but does nothing? Im putting 3.0 with daftia mod on it now to see.

The mod will do nothing. It's modding files that don't exist... So it won't help your non working unit.

You need to follow the thread pinned to the top of the problems page. Sounds like he modified files he shouldn't have.

Ya most likly, Ill read through it again I thought I had read everything though so far thier is one thing I havnt tried yet. One of my problems also was he had taken it apart and installed the SD ribbon cable improperly so I was stuck for a few hours trying to figure out why it wasnt reading any of my sd cards.

Can also use thumb drives if SD reader is giving errors

SD reader is ok, and I never tried it didn't have a thumb drive on my lol I have a bunch of SD cards.

Just did the SDMLC image write currently waiting for files to transfer. Ill let you know how is goes.

8.44 GB took 5h 26m and my upload speed is at 900 kB/s my upload speed from my provider is 35Mb/s though.

thats quicker then people have been reporting must be because more people are finally seeding... for a month it was mostly just me and even though my upload speeds are 2mb/s it was more like 200kb/s in azerus so people were looking at 10+ DL time... glad its getting faster and people are getting things fixed in 1 day instead of 2

Yes, I have fast internet also, fios 35 down and 35 up! I can't wait to get this unit in my car though.

Another quick question though is when I enter and adress in the gps it thinks im in california and says 2000 miles could that be due to the fact that im not moving and im just bench testing it?

its due to you havent established GPS signal yet. It may take a few minutes/you may need to go to an open parking lot. To get your first location set up, I think thats how it always is when it is stock.

Im running FW 2.008 from pioneers site and I think im on 1.6 maps

I would like to know whats the diffrence with the lastest firmware?

I also read somewhere that you could use the X series software?

Thanks guys. Im still new to this stuff but I got a few friends that are good with software im mostly a Hardware guy still in college going for electrical engineering.

And im going to be seeding tail24's file for 2 more weeks before I leave overseas for vacation.

The other back ups need to be purchased as they are also map updates. If you have that torrent you have most up to date files in there read in mods pAge how to apply them (short of it is get in testmodd and copy paste which version backup you want from my backups.
