can anyone tell me what VR has to do with the navi. Why the heck do i have to hit ok just to use the VR. So i get in my car and the unit boots up into a media source not the map. I then want to make a phone call while keeping my eyes on the road i hit the button on my steering wheel and i cant use the VR until i go to the navi screen and hit ok. So this i have to to take my eyes off the road hit 2 buttons. WTF that is redulious what is the point of the VR if you have to take your eyes off the road just to turn it in on? Completly defeats the purpose of VR Now if your unit boots into navi you click ok your are fine. I know the older models the vr would work to input street address and stuff like that but the new units cant.

Two ways to solve this

1. boot the unit and have the ok start no matter if you are booting into nav or source

2. Just let the VR work with out the discalamer. ( read the discalamer and it talks nothing about VR)

 

Pioneer is handicapping there own units.

Been discussed and complained about many times before. Its that way because Pioneer wants it that way and it wouldn't be the first time they have done something like this with no regard to actually thinking it through.
