insert SD card 
but seriously, there is only 2 GB NAND flash onboard. You would need to resolder flash chips... Not worth it on this line...

Is there a way to launch maps from the SD card instead of the main folder?

nav software is igo8, so you can look around on internet about sys.txt how to specify alternate content (map/poi/etc) folder locations
