first of all i would like to say hello! i am new to the forum and have just got my first navigation system.
i have a 2008 gmc sierra 1500 that i bought the z130bt for. the nav system is used and it came out of a new body style tahoe so everything was all ready pre wired with the pac os 4.
i have a couple questions bout it. i plugged it all in everything works great except i have no sound for the chimers no more. i noticed there is a little box that connects to the pac system that says to reprogram. can anyone tell me what that is all about?? also on the side of the pac box theres a long connector spot that for convience i/o but i dont have anything to plug into it?
my other question is there any use for hooking up the backup wire since i dont have a back up camera?? i have already bypassed the drive while watching dvd and got the vss hooked up.
im pretty tech savy and work at an auto shop so im not new to cars or wiring just new to having navi and since i plugged and played this one i didnt really have to hook up anything.
